Oracle DBA Certification
Overview
I have received several emails concerning Oracle DBA Certification. This page is dedicated to providing information that may help you in preparing for your exams.Google LinksTo this day, I have not seen an Oracle DBA job posting that requires certification but I do know of many companies that recognize the OCP certificate. Being certified can be a great benefit as it shows recognition for your thorough understanding of the Oracle database.
The exams are not tough if you are an experienced Oracle DBA. Most of the questions are basic and practical (with a few trick ones thrown in). I don't believe anyone should run out and spend money on Oracle training. If you feel compelled to spend a little bit of money (like I did), I listed several DBA Certification books that can be purchased through Amazon.com. These books can help in identifing some of those trick questions that may appear on an exam.
