Determining Which Network Oracle is using for Oracle9i RAC Traffic

by Jeff Hunter, Sr. Database Administrator

You can use 'oradebug ipc' to see which interconnects the database is using:

  SQL> oradebug setmypid
  SQL> oradebug ipc
This will dump a trace file to the user_dump_dest. The output will look something like this:
SSKGXPT 0x1a2932c flags SSKGXPT_READPENDING info for network 0
  socket no 10 IP 192.168.1.200 UDP 43749
sflags SSKGXPT_WRITESSKGXPT_UP info for network 1
  socket no 0 IP 0.0.0.0 UDP 0...
So you can see that we are using IP 192.168.1.200 with a UDP protocol.
